My name is Evan, and I am a female-to-male transgender individual. I am going into my last year of college to attain a bachelor’s degree in psychology at UCR, and I currently work as a research assistant on campus. I came out as transgender publicly about one year ago, but the feeling of not being “one of the girls” has been there forever. I have been on testosterone for almost a year, and I feel more like myself than ever.

My chest isn’t flat! I have been binding my chest for years now, and it is not comfortable, nor does it entirely remove the gender dysphoria I feel everyday. I can’t look in the mirror and truly see me. I have a naturally large chest, and it is time for my chest to really be mine and finally reflect how I feel inside.

Luckily, I have scheduled my top surgery with Dr. Scott Mosser in San Francisco on September 11th, 2018. However, surgery is expensive and there are multiple fees involved, including the cost of a week-long stay in San Francisco.

My support system and I are looking to raise $5,000 to cover the costs of surgery, transportation, and hotel accommodations. Anything you are willing to donate would be greatly appreciated.
